Andrew Blackburn is Of Counsel in Selman Breitman’s San Diego office and is a member of the firm’s General Liability, Insurance, and Product Liability practice groups. Andrew represents non-profit organizations, corporations/companies, small businesses and their employees in pre-litigation claims and civil actions, including cases arising out of elder abuse, negligence, product liability, personal injury, insurance and premises liability.  Andrew’s clients include non-profit companies, day care facilities, health clinics, insurance companies, design professionals, ride share companies and commercial construction companies. He also has experience in representing clients in disputes that involve complex and multi-party litigated matters ranging from catastrophic injuries to product defects.

His decades-long experience in General Liability enables him to evaluate a case and develop the best strategy to defend a client, whether through early resolution or trial. He works closely with clients and their representatives to address their concerns and anxieties from being involved in a litigation, as most have no prior experience with the process, from beginning to end, all the while serving his client’s interests.

Andrew has been called upon by clients and insurance carriers to give presentations on various subject matters relating to complex litigation, multi-party litigation and product liability, including those specifically relating to e-cigarette claims, joint and several liability, recoverable damages and accident reconstruction.

A San Diego native, Andrew was born into a military family when his father was a drill instructor for the United States Marine Corp. His early years involved moving around the country from one Marine Base to another, with stops in North Carolina and Hawaii to name a few. He presently resides in the Mission Hills area of San Diego with wife Allison, daughter Vivienne and their two dogs, Daisy and Bailey.  When not helping clients with their legal needs, he spends time motorcycle riding/racing, scuba diving and traveling.
