Beverly Brand is Of Counsel in Selman Breitman’s San Francisco office and is a member of the firm’s Insurance practice group.  She represents insurance carriers in coverage and litigation matters involving life, disability. and property and casualty lines of insurance with respect to individual, commercial, and group policies, including disputes arising out of construction, employment,  professional liability, and inter-insurer obligations. Beverly’s clients include regional, national, and international insurance companies. She also has experience representing carriers in regulatory and policy matters involving complex issues such as policy approvals and market conduct exams, as well representing individuals and businesses in complex business and contractual disputes.   

Beverly’s extensive experience in Insurance Coverage enables her to evaluate complex insurance coverage matters for her clients. She works closely with General Counsel and claim representatives to guide them through the unique and complex aspects of nationwide coverage issues.

She is frequently called upon by clients to provide training on various matters, including California’s Fair Claims Settlements Practices. Beverly is an officer and member of the Standing Committee on Insurance of the California Lawyer’s Association Business Law Committee, and an officer and board member Queen's Bench, where she was recognized with the 2017 Service (Merit) Award.

Originally from Claremont, California, Beverly presently resides with her husband and teenage sons in San Francisco, where she has been a resident for more than 30 years.
