David A.Astengo

David Astengo is Of Counsel in Selman Breitman’s San Francisco office and is a member of the firm’s Insurance practice group. David represents and advises insurance companies concerning inter-insurer disputes as well as numerous issues concerning the availability of coverage under primary and excess liability policies.  David’s clients include commercial general liability insurers. He has experience advising and representing policyholders in insurance disputes and subcontractors in construction defect matters. David has prosecuted and defended contribution, indemnity, breach of contract and bad faith actions. 

David’s considerable experience with Insurance matters provides him a unique ability to analyze insurance coverage issues and counsel both insurance companies and insureds on litigation and the resolution of complex coverage matters. David is admitted to practice law in California, Nevada and Arizona, and has represented clients in all three states. David practices in both state and federal court. He works closely with clients and claims representatives with the goal of quickly assessing their needs and protecting their interests while navigating cases to an agreeable resolution.

David is originally from Los Angeles, and presently resides in San Francisco.  When not helping clients with their legal needs, he spends his time keeping current with politics, professional sports and enjoying all that San Francisco and the Bay Area offers.
