Garo K.Hovannisian

Garo Hovannisian is Of Counsel in the firm's Los Angeles office and is a member of the firm’s Insurance practice group.  For more than 25 years, Garo has provided coverage-related analysis and recommendations to clients, represented insurers in policyholder coverage disputes, and handled various complex inter-insurer matters.  His practice encompasses various types of policies, including commercial general liability, homeowners, errors and omissions, and personal and business auto.

For nearly a decade, Garo co-headed a major carrier's national (and later California-based) coverage unit.  Under this program, he handled thousands of coverage assignments, ranging from evaluating policies and pleadings for coverage issues, preparing coverage memoranda, drafting reservation of rights and denial letters, communicating with policyholder counsel regarding coverage issues, monitoring case activity, and representing the client at settlement conferences, mediations and coverage-related meetings.  Garo also has experience in all aspects of coverage-related litigation.

Garo is a Los Angeles native. He and his wife Arsineh are blessed with three children.  In his spare time, Garo enjoys golf, gardening and good company.
