Kelsey Starn is Of Counsel in Selman Breitman’s Los Angeles office and is a member of the firm’s Insurance and Commercial Litigation practice groups.  Kelsey represents insurance companies in coverage disputes, primarily arising out of environmental and toxic tort matters.  Kelsey’s clients include insurance companies involved in complex, multi-party coverage litigation.   In addition, she represents clients in contractual and extracontractual disputes, and has undertaken numerous coverage and exposure analyses. 

Kelsey's insurance coverage practice consists primarily of counseling her clients regarding their coverage obligations and rights against others; prosecuting and defending declaratory relief and equitable contribution actions; and defending against bad faith claims filed by individual and corporate insureds.

Kelsey’s experience in Insurance Coverage Litigation provides her a unique ability to evaluate complex coverage issues and investigate and defend insurance claims at trial.  She also works closely with clients to provide them with coverage analyses and opinions for a wide variety of factual scenarios. 

Kelsey also has prior experience defending companies in sophisticated breach of contract disputes.  She has taken numerous depositions and has participated in several mediations that led to favorable results on behalf of her clients. 

Kelsey is originally from central California and presently resides in Santa Monica, California.  When not helping clients with their legal needs, she spends her time enjoying the surrounding beach cities.
